4 MANAGEMENT-UTILITY MAXIMIZATION
Максимизация управленческой полезности
Цель, которую ставит перед собой компания (согласно теории фирмы) в качестве альтернативы традиционной цели максимизации прибыли. Для современного капитализма характерно преобладание в промышленном секторе крупных корпораций, в которых собственность отделена от управления. Власть в таких корпорациях сосредоточена в руках управляющих, которые стремятся проводить выгодную для себя политику. Они заинтересованы в расширении штата, получении дополнительных вознаграждений и возможности инвестировать средства по своему усмотрению. Менеджеры стремятся нанять дополнительных работников, что способствует увеличению их собственных окладов. Появление новых кадров вызывает необходимость создания новых должностных позиций, что, при условии сохранения разницы в оплате труда работников разных уровней, приводит к росту заработной платы тех категорий, которые находятся наверху иерархической лестницы. Кроме того, значительный штат сотрудников - это свидетельство значимости компании, ее престижа, а также гарант сохранения рабочих мест, поскольку крупные подразделения обычно реже ликвидируются. Менеджеры также стремятся получить надбавки к жалованью в виде больших представительских и командировочных расходов, служебных автомобилей и т.д. и рассматривают их как источник косвенных доходов и как знак своего высокого положения (см.
